Ingredients
Fried chicken
- Chicken wings (mid-joint), 250 grams
- Mr.Hung Tempura batter mix flour, for coating
Honey Garlic Sauce
- Honey, 3 tablespoons
- Finely chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon
- Finely chopped ginger, 1 tablespoon
- Chili oil, 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce, 1/2 cup
- Sesame oil, 2 tablespoons
- White sugar, 3 tablespoons
- Unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons
- Water, 1/4 cup
- Toasted white sesame seeds, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Directions
- Clean the chicken wings and pat them dry.
- Coat the chicken wings with Mr.Hung Tempura batter mix flour and fry over medium heat until light golden. Remove and let cool.
- Fry the chicken wings again over medium-high heat until crispy and golden brown. Drain excess oil.
- In a pan, sauté the chopped garlic and ginger with butter until fragrant.
- Add chili oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water to the pan. Simmer the sauce until well combined and slightly thickened. Set aside.
- Toss the fried chicken wings in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy!
