RECIPE: KOREAN HONEY GARLIC FRIED CHICKEN

Indulge in the sweet and savory flavors of Korean Honey Garlic Fried Chicken. This dish combines the crispy texture of double-fried chicken wings with a rich, flavorful honey garlic sauce. Perfect for gatherings or a satisfying meal at home.

Ingredients

Fried chicken

  • Chicken wings (mid-joint), 250 grams
  • Mr.Hung Tempura batter mix flour, for coating

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • Honey, 3 tablespoons
  • Finely chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon
  • Finely chopped ginger, 1 tablespoon
  • Chili oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce, 1/2 cup
  • Sesame oil, 2 tablespoons
  • White sugar, 3 tablespoons
  • Unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons
  • Water, 1/4 cup
  • Toasted white sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Directions

  1. Clean the chicken wings and pat them dry.
  2. Coat the chicken wings with Mr.Hung Tempura batter mix flour and fry over medium heat until light golden. Remove and let cool.
  3. Fry the chicken wings again over medium-high heat until crispy and golden brown. Drain excess oil.
  4. In a pan, sauté the chopped garlic and ginger with butter until fragrant.
  5. Add chili oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water to the pan. Simmer the sauce until well combined and slightly thickened. Set aside.
  6. Toss the fried chicken wings in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.
  7. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy!
