TEMPURA SHRIMP

Ingredients
- Sea shrimp (peeled), 10–12 pieces
- Egg, 1
- Cold water, 100 ml
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- Mr.Hung Tempura Batter Mix, for coating and batter
Directions
- Peel and devein the shrimp, then make shallow cuts on the underside (belly) 4-5 times and press lightly. Season with salt and ground black pepper. Divide the crispy batter mix into two parts.
- First part (wet batter): Mix 1 part Mr. Hung Crispy Batter Mix with 1.5 parts cold water and an egg until smooth. Set aside.
- Second part (dry coating): Keep dry flour for coating.
- Coat the seasoned shrimp first in the dry batter mix, then dip it into the wet batter. Deep fry the shrimp in hot oil. For added texture, dip your fingers into the wet batter and flick small droplets onto the frying shrimp to create crispy bits. Fry until the shrimp are cooked through and golden brown. Remove the oil and drain the excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy.
